Dr. August Abbott

Dr. August Abbott has been a certified Avian Specialist with the Pet Industry Joint Advisory Council (PIJAC) since 2001. 

She studied avian behavior and nutrition through Tufts University in 2010.  She has been a member of the Consultant International Association of Animal Behaviorists in both general and parrot divisions since 2011. 

She established Broken Birds, a rescue and sanctuary for previously abused, neglected, or abondoned parrots in 2010.

She has extensive experience in online avian consulting and grief counseling.
